PIAC OBTAINS AS 9100 CERTIFICATION

Piasecki Aircraft Corporation [PiAC] received its AS 9100 certification recently from National Quality Assurance, USA (NQA, USA), an accredited registrar that performs assessments of company quality management systems against requirements of national and international standards for quality. NQA, USA was chosen to provide certification because of its broad engineering, industrial, manufacturing, and distribution expertise.
For Piasecki Aircraft Corporation, the receipt of AS 9100 & ISO 9001 registration and certification, the most widely recognized aerospace quality management systems, is an important step in maintaining its excellent reputation in the aviation/aerospace world.
PiAC’s former compliant quality assurance programs have been in place throughout the many years of rapid prototype development in the company’s rotorcraft research and development business. “What this certification means today, is that PIAC can now expand its unique machining capabilities and business base to include precision parts for aerospace manufacturing,” stated Aretta Ryan, PiAC’s Quality Assurance Director.
